Apple India website is down just hours ahead of iPhone 16 pre-orders

Just hours before the pre-orders for the iPhone 16 series, the Apple India website went offline. Those eyeing the newly launched iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, iPhone 16 Pro Max need to be prepared because it will likely be difficult to quickly book one device as many people will be doing the same when the pre-order window opens in India in a few hours. It is worth noting that despite the upgrades, the pricing for the iPhone 16 series remains consistent with last year’s models, maintaining the same cost structure across storage options. Pre-orders are expected to open soon, with the Apple Store set to resume operations within a few hours. For customers eager to secure the new Apple gadgets, it’s advisable to monitor the store closely, as pre-orders are slated to begin at 5:30 PM IST. Shipping for these devices will commence from September 20, as per Apple’s release timeline.
Apple has been actively promoting the Apple Intelligence features of the iPhone 16 series, though these won’t be available at launch. Instead, the new capabilities are set to debut with iOS 18.1 next month. All iPhone 16 models are designed to be compatible with Apple Intelligence.

If you’re looking for the iPhone 16 Pro, it comes with a starting price of Rs 1,19,900 for the 128GB model. Apple also offers 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage options, priced at Rs 1,29,900, Rs 1,49,900, and Rs 1,69,900, respectively. For those wanting the most premium model, the iPhone 16 Pro Max starts at Rs 1,44,900 for the 256GB variant. The 512GB version will cost Rs 1,64,900, while the top-tier 1TB model is priced at Rs 1,84,900.
